So it’s a Friday night and I’m an attractive woman sitting at home watching Comedy Central and drinking a bottle of wine. It’s that time of night when the Time Life album’s are on and I’m a little tempted to buy the collection that’s on TV. It’s Rock Ballads. How can I resist? Luckily I have in the back of my head the fact that I’m going “home” to Chicago in less than a week and I need the money. Otherwise I might actually be looking in my Mary Poppins purse, to find my cell phone and buy it. After all it only $19.95 for the first CD…probably… I haven’t really been paying attention to the price. Just the fact that they’re playing all the songs that I love and know the words to. And it comes with liner notes! Yeah I definitely need to go to bed. Why does Time Life tempt me so! I can just picture myself putting both ear buds in my ears and rocking away to these songs…shutting out everyone at work… Annoying my cube-mate while I sing along. But no, I mustn’t, I need to conserve my cash for when I go to Chicago and party for 4 days and 3 nights! It’s just so tempting though!
BTW…I saw the trailer for 2012…I was a little confused because the first few trailers looked like some sort of Al Gore, “March of the Penguins” Documentary. But then Woody Harrilson was posting You Tube videos and I thought maybe it’s not so serious. I finally saw the final trailer and it has Lloyd Dobbler aka John Cusack in it and I knew that I must see it. Even if it is “The Day After tomorrow” without the ice. I have to see it just because my BF, John Cusack is in it. And he is, after all a Chicago native. (I like to think of myself as a Chicagoan by adoption). So I have to support my Midwesterners. And I secretly hope that I’ll run into him somewhere and he’ll discover that I’m the only woman for him and be Lloyd Dobbler for me forever. I freely admit that I’m stuck in the 80’s and I’m not ashamed to admit it!
Well I just felt the need to ramble my desire to pick up the phone and make a big mistake. Instead I’m going to fall asleep listening The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan on my Zen Vision. I’ve already spent money on that and I don’t have my books so I might was well have someone read it to me.
Have a lovely night ya’ll. I hope you enjoyed my rambling…
